New Dilemma

Well, work hasn't killed me yet. Surprisingly I had lots of energy last night when I got out of work. Nobody should have that kind of energy after working 9-5 and then 5-11. I thought about going out to the bar, but I wanted to stay home and rest my feet, eat some dinner and watch some Law and Order. However, I'm having trouble with a work related issue.

Ok, it's not work related at all. It really just interferes with work. Here's my new dilemma. Now that I'm working in the evenings, I'm not home to watch my TV shows on prime time. Tuesday is really problematic. The nights begins with a date between the Gilmore Girls and myself, followed by One Tree Hill, and then Law and Order SVU. Tuesday isn't the only night that is creating this problem, that was just one example. I have shows that I watch a few nights a week. I really need to order DVR, but it's expensive, and probably not worth the money unless I'm taping lots of shows every night. So I was thinking it might be time to switch the VCR's out. I have two VCR's in my possession and neither of them work. Of course they don't work, it would be way to easy if that were the case. So I'm trying to decide, DVR or new VCR. Cast your vote and I'll tally them up and make my decision.

I found that once I had more responsibilities, I had to give up TV in favor of DVDs. My schedule is full of things that are more important, so I get my entertainment downtime when I can. Netflix has most of the good shows on DVD and it keeps me from scheduling my life around the choices of the network execs.

That said, I'd go with DVR over VCR. Higher quality recordings and less programming once you get it setup.
